Welcome to the Eleventh Annual SenioRITAs
Women’s Doubles Tennis Tournament at Sawgrass Country
Club!
RITA ... Research Is The Answer ... is a foundation that
directly funds breast cancer research in Northeast
Florida. In fact, all funds raised by the tournament,
including your entry fees, benefit clinical breast
cancer research at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville and breast
care services at Baptist Medical Center Beaches.
All
the money raised through RITA remains here to benefit
the women of Jacksonville. However, exciting research
efforts hold promise for women everywhere. In thirteen
years, The RITA Foundation has donated more than $3
million, over $460,000 of which was raised by SenioRITA.
With your support, we can significantly add to that
total. RITA is an all-volunteer organization, with 100%
of the proceeds benefitting these programs:
THE MAYO CLINIC
The
Mayo Clinic Breast Cancer Research Program includes
prevention along with improved detection and evaluation
of innovative therapeutic options for patients diagnosed
with breast cancer.
BAPTIST MEDICAL CENTER
BEACHES
Baptist Medical Center Beaches offers the highest
quality breast imaging and evaluation services with
specially trained technicians and radiologists
implementing the newest detection techniques and
equipment.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Women’s Doubles in divisions by age and
level of play.
Weather permitting; all matches will be
played at Sawgrass Country Club.
Age Groups:
40-54 (Levels A Open, A1, A2, B1, B2, C1,
C2, D)
55+ (Levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, D)
Play levels will be verified.
Team must play at highest individual
rating and/or lowest age group play levels will be
verified.
Draws will be limited. A 10-point tie
breaker will be played in lieu of a third set.
Trophies will be awarded to champions,
finalists and consolation winners in each division.
A consolation round will assure each team
of playing at least two matches.
ENTRY FEE
Entry Fee is $150 per team ($75 per player) which
includes:
Admission to the Party & Auction at
Sawgrass Country Club, goody bag, breakfast, lunch,
snacks and beverages for each player Friday, Saturday
and Sunday, whether playing or eliminated, and new
tennis balls for each match.
