Karen Aaro and the SenioRITAs at Sawgrass committee presented $177,250.00 from the October, 2025 SenioRITAS event at Sawgrass Country Club to Jarrett Dreicer, president of Baptist Medical Center Beaches.
This grant represents a payment toward the $250,000 commitment in support of the new MRI equipment at Baptist Beaches. In addition, the annual proceeds from 16 fully funded SenioRITAs endowments will be providing an additional $25,000.00 for the Imaging Department.
Additionally, the SenioRITAs committee presented Dr. Al Copland and Rick Granger, Senior Development Officer at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville a grant of $72,900.00. We have been supporting Dr. Copland’s Cancer Research Lab at Mayo for 15 years and are pleased to announce that his lab’s compound is now in a Phase One clinical trial. Results to date have been exceeding good and the next step would be moving to a Phase Two trial.
